Loss Control - Minor
Loss control is a risk management technique that seeks to reduce the possibility of a loss and the severity of those losses that do occur. Students will learn strategies for loss control programs to help policyholders reduce claims, and insurance companies reduce losses through safety and risk management information and services.
This training provides mentorship, experiential learning, essential risk management, insurance concepts, and occupational safety knowledge needed to enhance career success. The courses in this minor equip students with valuable skills to help them be successful in loss control environments. A grade of “C” or better is required in all courses comprising the minor. The minor consists of the following courses:
