All courses must be completed with a grade of at least “C” and the GPA in the courses used for the minor must be at least 2.75. The teaching minor in mathematics must be coupled with a secondary teaching major in another discipline. Students enrolled in another teaching program who desire teaching certification in mathematics will be required to take ESE 550 Teaching Mathematics in the Secondary School and student teach in mathematics. Appropriate PRAXIS exams must be completed for each area of certification being recommended. The PRAXIS exams must be taken prior to student teaching.
