The College of Justice, Safety & Military Science is one of the nation's leading colleges dedicated to justice, public safety, emergency management, military leadership, and aviation. As one of Eastern Kentucky University's six academic colleges, it includes the School of Aviation, School of Justice Studies, School of Safety, Security, & Emergency Management, and the Department of Military Science and Leadership (Army ROTC). Faculty members are recognized for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional engagement.
The College's designation as Eastern Kentucky University's first Program of Distinction has supported the continued growth of academic programs, instructional resources, research opportunities, student scholarships, and specialized facilities.
The College offers master's degrees in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Safety, Security, and Emergency Management. Additional graduate study opportunities are available through the College of Business, which offers MBA concentrations in Construction Management and Occupational Safety.
The College provides flexible pathways that support student progression across certificates and degree programs while recognizing eligible transfer credit, military training, professional credentials, and prior learning toward degree completion.
